by family doctors, as well as doctor supervised Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. We give the personal attention of a private physicians' office and the convenience of an urgent care/walk-in facility. We treat patients of all ages, from children to great-grandparents. Family MedCenters make routine services convenient. Good health requires preventive care and check-ups as part of our commitment to "Old Values and Modern Service", we give some immunizations, diabetes and lipid screening osteoporosis screening, Pap smears and regular allergy injections. When your family needs special examinations, we make them easy and affordable. Normally, there's minimal waiting for camp, school, college and insurance examinations.
Our convenient locations and hours are perfect for people on the go. No appointment is needed at Family MedCenters but we will make appointments that are prompt as well as convenient for you if you prefer. Next day appointments are always available (except Saturday). We encourage walk-ins too.Family MedCenters is ready for your unexpected medical problems - whenever they happen. We're always prepared to treat sudden unexpected medical problems such as cuts, lacerations, fractures, sprains, chest, stomach, back and eye pains, flu's, sore throats, urinary problems, childhood illnesses, accidents and job-related injuries of all kinds. Family MedCenters is ideal for people who want "Old Values and Modern Service". When you come to us, you avoid the high costs and potentially long waits of a hospital emergency department. And you and your family can be comfortable seeing a doctor who is familiar with you and your family, However, when a medical illness or injury is serious enough to require immediate hospital care such as from a car accident or a heart or brain attack, an ambulance should be called to take the patient directly to Aiken Regional Medical Center's Emergency Department where there are excellent emergency specialists who will coordinate your care with us and any other necessary specialists.
You'll rarely have to wait more than 10 minutes for an in-office lab test result, because Family MedCenters has fully-equipped laboratories operated by a Medical Technologist, X-ray services operated by a Radiologic Technologist and heart monitoring (EKG) equipment.
Our fees for emergency care are lower than emergency care centers and our fees for regular care are competitive with those of other physician's offices. And, just like other physicians, we expect payment when services are rendered. We accept most major credit cards. We will be glad to provide you with a statement that makes it simple to file for insurance reimbursement if we do not already automatically file with your insurance company. If we already file your insurance, bring your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) letter with you if it says you have already met your deductible.
